Well, technically, it did work but was very loud! Rooms were clean and great maid service. This is one of the few Secrets that actually is really ocean front meaning you walk out of the room onto the beach. We were pleased with the room and stayed in the Preferred Club section ocean front. The room accommodations were very nicely remodeled. However, some of the dining options for this resort are directly between the two resorts and inside the other resort. This wasn't a problem for us this time around, as there weren't too many families with small children staying there during our trip. Incidentally it is directly next to their sister resort Sunscape which is for families so if you're looking for exclusive adult only, you won't completely find it here since anyone can walk down the beach with their children. At Secrets Aura, the quality of most amenities were at least a step or two below standard.

While it was adults only, the Secret's brand is supposed to provide upscale accommodations with exemplary personal service and privileges or unlimited-luxury. The resort still isn't quite the same standard as the other Secrets resorts.

The beach is nice but areas are rough and you might want water shoes to go into the ocean due to the rocky sand and slippery rocks. We certainly weren't disappointed with that. Well we remembered this was a great place for that whether you're a beginner (and want to see fish near the shore) or more advanced and go out on the boat for deep water snorkeling. Not good! Nonetheless, we decided to give it another go because we were traveling with friends that wanted to snorkel and scuba. Addicted! We've been to Secrets Aura a couple of years ago while they were heavily into their renovations.
